Brow Lamination
What is brow lamination?
Brow lamination is a semi-permanent treatment that restructures brow hairs, creating a fuller, lifted, and more uniform appearance. It also helps make the brow hairs easier to brush and style with a light-hold gel, keeping them in place throughout the day.
Who is a good candidate for brow lamination?
Anyone looking to enhance the shape, fullness, or symmetry of their natural brows can benefit from brow lamination. It works particularly well for those with unruly, sparse, or downward-growing brow hairs.
Is brow lamination safe?
Yes, when performed by a trained professional using high-quality products, brow lamination is safe. However, we recommend a patch test to rule out any allergies. Patch tests are complimentary and should be done at least 24 hours before your appointment. Anyone with allergies or certain skin conditions (like eczema or psoriasis) should consult their technician before proceeding.
How long does the procedure take?
The treatment typically takes 45 minutes to an hour, including the application of the lamination solution, neutralizer, and conditioning treatment.
Can I get brow lamination if I have thin or sparse brows?
Yes! Brow lamination can give the illusion of thicker brows by lifting and repositioning the hairs, making them appear fuller.
Can I combine brow lamination with other treatments?
Yes! Brow lamination can be paired with tinting and shaping for a more defined look.
Aftercare & Maintenance
What should I avoid after brow lamination?
For the first 24–48 hours:
-
Do not get your brows wet (avoid steam, saunas, swimming, and excessive sweating).
-
Avoid touching, rubbing, or sleeping directly on your brows.
-
Do not apply makeup or skincare products directly on your brows.
-
Avoid excessive sun exposure or tanning beds.
How do I maintain my laminated brows?
We provide clients with an aftercare kit that includes the recommended brow conditioner for daily use. Keep your brows hydrated by applying the conditioner as directed to maintain healthy, soft, and nourished brows.
Also remember to brush them daily in an up and out motion.
How long does brow lamination last?
Brow lamination typically lasts 6–8 weeks, depending on your hair growth cycle and how well you follow aftercare.
Can I still fill in my brows with makeup?
Yes! Brow lamination can give the illusion of thicker brows by lifting and repositioning the hairs, making them appear fuller.
Will my brows go back to normal?
Yes, brow lamination is temporary. Your brows will gradually return to their natural state as new hairs grow in.
How often can I get brow lamination?
It is recommended to wait at least 10–12 weeks between treatments to prevent over-processing and maintain healthy brow hairs.
Brow Tinting
What is brow tinting?
Brow tinting is a semi-permanent treatment that enhances the color, shape, and definition of the eyebrows by applying a specially formulated dye. It helps make the brows appear fuller and more defined without makeup.
What is the difference between hybrid tint and hair-only tint?
-
Hybrid Tint: A long-lasting tint that stains both the brow hairs and the skin beneath, creating a more filled-in look. It typically lasts 2–10 days on the skin, depending on cell turnover rate and the darkness of the initial tint, and up to 4 weeks on the hairs.
-
Hair-Only Tint: A traditional tint that colors only the brow hairs without staining the skin. It gives a more natural look and lasts up to 4 weeks on the hair.
Which type of tint is best for me?
-
If you prefer a more defined, makeup-like appearance, hybrid tint is ideal.
-
If you want a subtle enhancement without a stain on the skin, hair-only tint is the best option.
Is brow tinting safe?
Yes, when performed by a trained professional using high-quality, professional-grade dyes, brow tinting is safe. However, we recommend a patch test at least 24 hours before your appointment to rule out any allergies. Patch tests are complimentary—reach out to 678-847-1872 to schedule yours
How long does the tinting process take?
The treatment typically takes 15–30 minutes, depending on the type of tint used and desired intensity.
Can brow tinting be customized to my hair color?
Yes! The tint shade is tailored to complement your natural hair color, skin tone, and brow goals.
Aftercare & Maintenance
What should I avoid after brow tinting?
For the first 24–48 hours:
-
Do not get your brows wet (avoid steam, saunas, swimming, and excessive sweating).
-
Avoid touching, rubbing, or scrubbing your brows.
-
Do not apply makeup or skincare products directly on your brows.
-
Avoid excessive sun exposure, as UV rays can fade the tint faster.
How do I maintain my tinted brows?
-
Wash around the brows with cleanser, rinse, and pat dry to avoid friction on the tinted skin, which can cause the stain to exfoliate more quickly.
-
Avoid harsh cleansers, exfoliants, or oil-based makeup removers around the brows.
-
Minimize exposure to chlorine, salt water, and sun to extend the tint’s longevity.
How long does brow tinting last?
-
Hybrid tint: Up to 4 weeks on the hair, 2–10 days on the skin, depending on cell turnover rate and tint darkness.
-
Hair-only tint: Up to 4 weeks on the hair.
Will my brows go back to normal?
Yes, brow tinting is temporary. As the tint fades, your brows will return to their natural color.
How often can I get my brows tinted?
It is recommended to wait 2–6 weeks between tinting sessions to maintain color vibrancy without over-processing the hair.
Brow threading, waxing, and tweezing
What is the difference between threading, waxing, and tweezing?
-
Threading: Uses a twisted cotton thread to remove hair from the follicle with precision. It is ideal for shaping and is gentle on sensitive skin.
-
Waxing: Removes multiple hairs at once using warm wax and a strip or hard wax. It provides a clean, smooth finish and is best for those who prefer a quicker service.
-
Tweezing: Uses tweezers to pluck individual hairs. It is often used for touch-ups or minor adjustments between appointments.
Which method is best for me?
-
Threading: Best for sensitive skin, precise shaping, and minimal irritation.
-
Waxing: Best for fast hair removal and a smooth, long-lasting result.
-
Tweezing: Best for small touch-ups or those sensitive to threading or waxing.
How long do the results last?
Pain tolerance varies, but:
-
Threading can feel like a slight pinching or scraping sensation.
-
Waxing causes a quick sting when the wax is removed.
-
Tweezing can feel like small pinches as each hair is plucked.
Is brow shaping safe for sensitive skin or clients using skincare actives?
All three methods are safe, but:
-
Threading and tweezing can be done on clients with sensitive skin and those using skincare actives such as retinols or medications like Accutane.
-
Waxing is not recommended for clients using retinols, Accutane, or other strong exfoliants, as it may cause skin lifting or irritation.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
-
Let your brows grow for at least 2–3 weeks for the best shaping results.
-
Inform your artist of any changes in your skincare routine or medication before your appointment.
-
Avoid using retinol for at least 4 days before waxing to prevent skin sensitivity or lifting.
-
Arrive with clean skin (avoid oils or lotions around the brows).

-
Avoid excessive sun exposure, sweating, or heat (hot showers, saunas, or tanning).
How do I maintain my brows between appointments?
-
Brush brows daily.
-
Avoid excessive tweezing to maintain the shape.
-
Use a brow serum or nourishing oil to promote healthy hair growth.
Can I combine brow shaping with other treatments?
-
Hybrid tint: Up to 4 weeks on the hair, 2–10 days on the skin, depending on cell turnover rate and tint darkness.
-
Hair-only tint: Up to 4 weeks on the hair.
Can I combine brow shaping with other treatments?
Yes! Brow shaping pairs well with tinting and lamination for a fuller, more defined look.
How often should I get my brows shaped?
Since hair regrowth varies for each person, brow shaping is typically recommended every 2–8 weeks depending on how fast your hair grows.
Patch Testing FAQ for Brow Tinting
& Lamination
What is a patch test?
A patch test checks for allergic reactions by applying a small amount of each product to the skin to monitor for sensitivity before a full service.
How do you perform a patch test?
At our studio, we apply a small amount of each product—such as tint, oxidant, or lamination solution—on the inside of your wrist.
Do I need a patch test for both tint and lamination?
Yes. Each product contains different ingredients and should be tested individually.
Does your studio require a patch test?
We do not require patch testing, but we highly recommend it. It’s the best tool we have to screen for allergic reactions in advance.
How far in advance should I do the patch test?
We suggest doing it 24–48 hours before your scheduled appointment.
Can I still have a reaction even if I pass the patch test?
Yes. While rare, it is possible to pass a patch test and still react during or after the full service.
Do I need to retest if I’ve done it before?
Yes, especially if it’s been over 6 months or if your health, medications, or skincare routine has changed.
What should I do if I have a reaction?
If you experience any signs of an allergic reaction from a patch test or service, notify us immediately. We can provide a full list of ingredients used. Please seek medical guidance promptly, as treatment falls outside the scope of practice for beauty professionals.
How often should I get my brows shaped?
Since hair regrowth varies for each person, brow shaping is typically recommended every 2–8 weeks depending on how fast your hair grows.
